Decarb Energy Partners is driving American industry and energy security forward by transforming biogas from landfills, anaerobic digesters, and wasewater treatment facilities into clean, sustainable, and economic biofuels. As an independent project developer, we partner directly with farmers, landfills, municipalities, and our stakeholders to decarbonize their operations, efficiently produce renewable biofuel, and transform biogas liabilities into stable revenue streams that drive local investment and economic vitality.

The Decarb Energy platform deploys our proprietary technology and innovative biogas conversion system, which efficiently transforms stranded biogas into clean fuels. By capturing and utilizing biogas, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions, virtually eliminate many other harmful pollutants, and support the transition to cleaner energy sources.

As part of the commitment we make to our partners, Decarb Energy prioritizes local biofuel distribution when possible so that communities benefit the most from the cleaner-burning fuel that they help produce. While most energy developments ship their fuels across the globe, Decarb Energy aims to keep project benefits as close to home as possible. Our Technology:

Decarb Energy has developed proprietary technology to capture geographically distributed stranded biogas emissions and efficiently convert the waste gases into high-quality sustainable biofuels.

Across the United States today, farms, anaerobic digesters, and landfills of all sizes produce biogas, which is a natural byproduct as waste decomposes in an oxygen-deficient environment. This gas stream is a mixture of methane (the main component of natural gas), biogenic carbon dioxide, and small volumes of other trace gases. Biogas that escapes into the atmosphere is detrimental to local air quality and materially contributes to climate change—Over a 20-year period, methane traps 84 times more heat than carbon dioxide, making it a potent driver of global warming.

Although often dismissed as waste and an environmental liability, biogas can be a valuable energy resource when harnessed in partnership with the right developer. Projects that capture biogas and transform it into renewable biofuels ensure that the methane and carbon dioxide do not escape into the atmosphere. This not only improves local air quality and mitigates anthropogenic climate change, but it also creates another source of valuable fuel that we can use to power our everyday lives.

• Reduced Emissions & Pollution: We reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and local pollution through our two core operational activities. First, we capture biogas before it escapes into the atmosphere or is 'flared,' which is a process that involves burning the bio-methane to produce a less harmful gas stream that's mostly CO₂. Second, the renewable biofuels we produce burn cleaner than gasoline and diesel. Our end-to-end decarbonization solution ensures that potential biogas pollution is captured, converted, and utilized—turning waste into fuel. Decarb Energy's proprietary technology and unique business model also empower our partners to eliminate most scope 1 & 2 emissions.
• Energy Security & American Dynamism: Our production volumes and costs are independent of volatile petrochemical markets, meaning that our locally-produced fuels are insulated from price shocks and not reliant on complex supply chains to function. This strengthens regional energy resiliency with cost-effective and diverse fuel sources, which protect consumers, help stabilize energy costs to combat inflation before it happens, and reduce our dependence on foreign energy.
• Improved Local Air Quality: Our projects virtually eliminate the release of a number of harmful pollutants, including sulfur oxides (SO_X), nitrogen oxides (NO_X), ozone- and smog-forming compounds (VOCs), and soot (particulates, or PM_X). Less pollution in the air we breathe has a direct positive impact on community health.
